Delivering Online Corporate Banking Services

Sector: Banking

Location: Czech Republic

Objective

Our client was keen to extend their online banking services in Czech Republic to meet the needs of their corporate clients.

Challenge

We managed all aspects of this project, using live-ray technology and a content management system. This included defining the processes for vendor selection and putting in place performance monitoring standards. This was a complex project requiring a range of technical expertise which was achieved with a team of 40 designers, developers, testers, architects and business consultants. Once completed and tested, we supported our client as they deployed the solution across the organisation.

Results

This was a multi-million-euro project which took nine months from inception to completion. Over that time, we developed a solution that delivered a fully integrated banking platform, and which is fully compliant with current banking regulations. For the first time, all the clients’ back-office functions, including security, operations, and corporate banking, are connected.

Implementing a new Event Management Solution for the Travel Sector

Sector: Travel

Location: Switzerland

Objective

Our client’s events team needed to replace their obsolete event management software with a new solution.

Challenge

We began this project by defining a roadmap which would allow us to develop and deploy a new event management system across multiple European sites. Working closely with the client we agreed a budget, evaluated potential solutions and built a business case so that all the project stakeholders could make informed decisions. We then established a project management strategy to manage all the processes, documentation, and risk management aspects of the project.

Results

We took full ownership of this project, managing the project governance framework for both the Divisional Business Process Modelling initiative and the European Event Management System decommissioning project. We defined the overall architecture and implementation strategy and ultimately delivered a project which exceeded client expectations.

Deploying a Credit Monitoring Solution for the Central Bank of Oman

Sector: Banking

Location: Oman

Objective

The bank was relying on out-of-date mechanisms for monitoring and evaluating credit strategies across several commercial banks. To improve these processes, they were looking to implement a single system able to monitor credit levels across the commercial banking sector.

Challenge

We managed this project using PRINCE2 methodologies, overseeing a team of project managers and over 35 staff. This included delivering a vendor selection process, evaluating submissions and shortlisting possible suppliers – ultimately choosing DnB’s Credit Bureau solution. We managed the implementation and technical patch upgrade of the Central Bank’s Oracle E-Business Suite financials’ GL module (version 12.0.4 to version 12.0.6). Working across the organization, we integrated E-Business suite with PCP Load balancer, and Single Sign-on (SSO) utilising Oracle Internet Directory (OID) and led the transition from Oracle Enterprise Planning & Budgeting to Hyperion & Hyperion Financial Data Quality Management (FDQM).

Results

We delivered this multi-million dollar project on time, with both local and offshore resources, bringing together a team of business analysts, architects, developers and testers. In partnership with DnB Credit we facilitated in the implementation of their credit bureau solution. Deploying Microsoft’s ERP Solution Across Multiple Locations

Sector: Manufacturing

Location: Brussels

Objective

Sonoco wanted to deploy Microsoft Dynamics as an ERP solution across multiple locations.

Challenge

To ensure successful delivery of this project, we worked with a team of multi-skilled analysts, and a budget in excess of €1.5m We put in place all the process changes needed for the new ERP system, identifying opportunities to optimise ways of working to allow for a reduced staff base. The implementation was designed so that it was compatible with the firm’s existing Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) system. As the project progressed, we delivered regular reports to all project stakeholders to ensure that the rollout was effective and had minimal impact on day-to-day operations.

Results

Microsoft Dynamics was rolled out across the EU operation, supported with the onsite teams that e were managing to ensure a smooth transition. In addition, we were able to stabilize and define a roadmap for further updates, informing future implementation strategies and identifying the core product which would be migrated on a country-by-country basis.

Upgrading 35,000 Handheld Devices Around the Globe

Sector: Telecommunications

Location:  Worldwide

To deliver the software upgrades a PRINCE2 methodology was applied across the project, and we designed and managed regional Release to Production plan to manage the rollout.

Results

At the planning stage, we designed a roadmap to inform the way the updates would be implements. This was phenomenally successful with the global rollout achieved within just 2 weeks.

Revitalizing the Frontend eShop for Vodafone

Sector: Telecommunications

Objective

Vodafone wanted to expand and update their e-shop frontend. To achieve this, the firm asked us to support the build of a new Oracle based content management system, and to then integrate this into their internal production systems.

Challenge

We took over this project after it had already begun and quickly re-evaluated the project, delivering multi-million-euro savings. Our work included the management and transition of 40 offshore and onsite resources. Effective project control and budgeting were key to our success and relied on us  negotiating with local and global steering groups, as well as Vodafone’s UK based digital agency.

We delivered the design and layout of the new eShop to a standard that exceeded client expectations, with the backend layer successfully integrated so that the e-shop was completely reinvigorated and fully functional.

Integrating Software for Client Onboarding

Sector: Logistics

Location: Worldwide

Objective

When DHL Supply Chain acquired a new client, new services needed to be integrated into the existing warehouse management system. This was to be a global project, bringing more than 30 warehouses onboard.

Challenge

Three teams were allocated to each region. As these were in different time zones (APAC, America, and ENEA) it enabled us to manage and run the project on a 24/7 basis. We created a roadmap designed for a matrix organisation, focussing on B2B integration. This allowed us to define specific customer messages, and to plan and deliver the development, design, and integration testing. After integrating the Manhattan Warehouse we were able to test over 60 different scenarios to ensure that all processes were operating correctly for both the client and DHL. Once we knew the integration would work effectively, we were able to quickly roll it out across the other warehouses.

Results

Our robust testing and 24/7 approach ensured that this project was delivered successfully, with fast global integration allowing the client to quickly onboard their new customer.

Rolling Out a Global Event Management Solution for The Logistics Sector

Sector: Logistics

Location: Worldwide

Objective

Our client didn’t have access to a global platform for event management, which needed to include shipping, tracking, complaints and claims processes. Different solutions were being used in different global regions, and they needed to migrate these to a single platform which would work worldwide.

Challenge

At the beginning of the project, we worked with the client to understand their requirements before selecting an appropriate solution and rolling this out across the business. We ensured that all the locally required customisations were built into the solution to reflect requirements in each location. This involved considerable stakeholder engagement as we worked with teams across the business to design and deploy a solution which would meet all the requirements of the organization.

Results

The client gave us full responsibility for end-to-end deployment of this solution, and we responded by delivering the project on time and on budget, creating new efficiencies and reducing operating costs across the business.

Deploying IT Security Solutions Across Complex Infrastructure

Sector: Pharmaceuticals

Objective

Our client needed to implement a new IT security improvement project, onboarding over 1,000 different applications to ensure that they could identify and manage any IT security risks. They had already chosen Splunk as their solution but needed help with its implementation.

Challenge

Managing this project involved working with a team of 20 staff, both onsite and overseas. We brought the team, which included security consultants and architects, together at the start of the project to define the processes and procedures for onboarding different types of applications. Once complete, we were able to define an approach for the onboarding project, grouping applications together. These decisions were informed by specific priorities which were based on business need. We worked closely with a dedicated onboarding team who were continually monitoring security threats and responding to these as the onboarding process progressed.

Results

Over the course of the project, we developed an approach which allowed us to map specific logs and data for onboarding to Splunk, implementing the project across hundreds of servers and integrating both software and databases with the new solution.
